LINK Ghana Three Stage Business Model is based on the assumption that communities have the greatest potential of driving their own development agenda through inward business development drive. It is community driven approach with facilitation from LINK Ghana. LINK Ghana facilitation takes the form of skills and capacity development in business development and operations. Igniting the inner potentials of individuals and communities is the focus of the model. It builds on the strategic advantage of communities own potentials, resources and aspirations.
In the light of this LINK Ghana modeled and implemented the NBD in the Builsa South District where Mamda Akuuwommi Atengbil was selected by the community to drive their business ambition. Madam Akuuwommi Atengbil, a 46 year old woman who is also groundnut oil extraction business woman is proud to be the Kunkua NBD.
She has this to tell LINK Ghana team on a monitoring visit to the agro processing facility being developed under her leadership with funding support from the UN / METSI Adaptation Fund Project. This is what she had to say “With this great project it will help me and my group to increase production of groundnut oil and incomes. We will be able to now shell and mill our groundnuts and other agro products within very short time hence saving productive time unlike first. LINK Ghana took a very good approach as community projects like this do not last in this part of our community. With improved incomes, we can take care of our children school fees, hospital bills, food and other needs. With the contribution from me, I will be able to ensure that it is functioning to provide the needed services to the group members and other community members. I am so happy and glad this agro processing center is being developed”
The Nucleus Business Driver (NBD) and other group members totaling 25 will be trained on quality groundnut oil extraction, business skills and management as well as advocacy and lobbying.

Madam Akuuwommi Atengbil indicates the construction of the building will be completed by end of November after which the Sheller, grinding mill and other equipment will be installed and comprehensive business training conducted for them. Currently group members are being trained on Group Dynamics to strengthen them for collective action.
LINK Ghana is a non-governmental organization on the mission to eradicate poverty by overcoming the injustice and inequity that cause it.
This will be achieved by working with the poor and marginalized people and their households and communities by igniting their inner potentials to champion their own development
